Hello, my name is Donnell Bruce. I was born and raised in Greensboro NC. I also went to college at UNC Greensboro. I graduated college May 2017 and studied Entrepreneurship. I plan to use my degree to one day be a operator of a Chick-fil-a franchise.
I have never been on a mission trip before. I grew without the culture of people going on mission trips around me so it was difficult to have a desire to go. I went to college and got involved with a campus ministry called Campus Outreach. During my junior year I was asked to go on a mission trip in the summer to Africa for two months. I was unable to go be of summer classes. I hated the fact that I couldn’t go and the desire to be sent out became more real to me. Soon after this event, I decided to become a member of Mercy Hill. I knew they sent people out very consistently and hoped that one day I could be on a team to go. As I continued to understand what the Gospel meant to me, I began to realize that everyone has a role in “going out to make disciples”. I thought it was only for special Christians who were full time missionaries. Now I know we are here to spread the good news of the Gospel no matter where we are or what we are doing in life. If God is the most important thing in our lives, we wouldn’t hesitate to go when called.
A few elders and other members of Mercy Hill will be going to East Asia on June 22 - July 1. We will be meeting up with a fellow member who lives there now in working with indigenous people to start churches among unreached people. My role is to help as much as I can to connect with the unreached. I want to be the tool God uses to advance the Gospel to nations.

Can you be in prayer for me as I raise support for this mission trip to East Asia? It will definitely be needed in this process so I can raise the money needed to for me to participate and so I can effectively minister to the unreached. Also, will you be will to give? I am in need of a total of $2500 by April 30, but I would love to see how fast I can accomplish this goal. You can donate here on this page.
