I want to share with you about the awesome opportunity that I have coming up this summer! As most of you know, I will be finishing my junior year at High Point University in May. I am a Human Relations major with minors in Nonprofit Leadership and Event Management.

Before attending an Urbana Missions Conference last December of 2015, I decided to give my summer to God and whatever he would have for me. This led to an internship with Advancing Native Missions (ANM) in Afton, VA. ANM serves over 250 native (indigenous) missionaries in over 80 countries. Their goals are to equip, encourage, and advocate for native missionaries. Through my time with them this summer, I developed lasting relationships with godly people, grew in my relationship with Christ, and was pushed outside of my comfort zone. One of the most important things that I saw was the importance of spreading the gospel to all the nations and got to experience first hand Christians from all around the world that were all living for and serving the same great God.

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. “ –Matthew 24:14

I am now being sent myself and would like to share what this looks like. Since coming to college I have been able to really take ownership of my own faith and my relationship with God. Since I have been at HPU, I have also found Mercy Hill Church in Greensboro, NC. It is here that I have found my church home away from home and have continued to be encouraged in sharing my faith and doing missions.

Through something called the SENT Initiative I will be participating in City Project this summer. City Project is an eight-week discipleship opportunity for college students to grow deeper as a disciple of Christ and learn how to make disciples who make disciples. This is an opportunity to completely be immersed in the local church and in other cities around the world. It includes one week in New York City at the beginning of the summer to engage Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, and Buddhists with the gospel. This will be followed by four weeks in Greensboro, NC of theological and ministry training by the pastors of Mercy Hill. During this time we will also be serving the city of Greensboro and sharing the gospel through internships with either the church or local ministries. The last two weeks of the summer will include a trip abroad to serve alongside Summit Church Planters in Spain.

I would love it if you would consider coming alongside me this summer and supporting me. It would be great if you could partner with me in prayer throughout the summer. To make this summer a reality I also need to raise $4,800. If you are willing and able to financially support me I would be extremely grateful. If you are able to give $100, $150, $200 or any amount it will be appreciated and will be used to further the mission!
