Greetings All,

All throughout the year I was considering signing up for Mercy Hill City Project. I would hear a lot about City Project from previous students who had participated. Through prayer and encouragement from others, I signed up and have been blessed with the opportunity to partake in City Project this summer. God started to work in my life almost at about the same time I signed up. It just seemed fit for me to do City Project because I will be transferring to UNCG this fall and I will be attending Mercy Hill while I’m there. City Project is an eight week discipleship program that introduces college students to different missional opportunities and begins to train them to be disciples who make additional disciples for Christ. During the first week of City Project, we will spend a week in New York City. While there, we will be engaging with Sikh, Muslim, Hindu, and Buddhist people groups. In the middle of the summer, we will be living in Greensboro. Here, we will be receiving theological, ministry, and practical training through weekly talks. During this time the group will learn how to effectively share the gospel and serve the community. We will be doing this through internships, with local organizations and ministries in Greensboro, North Carolina. The last two weeks of City Project are dedicated to serving internationally alongside of church planters.

This summer will be a step of faith for me because I have never partook in a summer long program like this before. Again through prayer and ultimately God’s grace, I have the confidence to pursue this opportunity to grow spiritually and serve by loving others in the community around me. I would like to challenge you to consider investing in other people’s life through prayer and financial support. God is able to use your prayers and or financial support to help others grow spiritually and expand His kingdom throughout the world this summer. As you consider this letter, pray that I, as well as other students, will be prepared for how the Lord will use each of us as we go through the summer. I will have faith to rely on God to provide to make this opportunity this summer happen.

I will be responsible to raise $4800 in order to participate in this City Project. I would love your financial support and I pray that you will give generously however much you feel called to give. Amounts of $50, $100 or any amount you are able to contribute would be greatly appreciated. As you invest in me, you are investing in others. This support will be used to equip me to be sent out as I share good news of the Gospel.

Checks should be made payable to Mercy Hill Church. My name should not be written in the memo line but instead City Project. My name should be on the Mercy Hill envelope where it says: Individual you are sponsoring. You may also give online at www.mercyhillgso.com/support.
