Hello friends!

My name is Anna Wood. I am a wife, a dog mom, and a hair stylist living in Greensboro, NC. I have been attending Mercy Hill church here in Greensboro for a little over 4 years now.

For years I have had this whisper in my heart of a desire to go on a missions trip. When an opportunity to go would come up I would talk myself out of it (I'm not qualified enough, I don't have time, what would others think); all lies! I was letting lies speak louder than truth, louder than the Lord. All throughout God's word he calls and uses normal people to do amazing works in His name (Isaiah 6:8), He can surely do the same with me!

I have made the decision to go to the Dominican Republic this October 14-20. I will be going with a team from Mercy Hill and Two Cities Church. We will be assisting at a local outreach center that works with at-risk teens in the Herrera community of Santo Domingo. We will spend time getting to know the teens and sharing the life giving truth of Jesus’ love for them. While there we will also work at an elementary school in the area, assisting teachers and students. As a former teacher myself I am excited to use my skills in any way needed.

I have witnessed the Lord use the power of prayer in my own life. I ask that you pray for my time in the Dominican to be used to bring God’s truth and speak His love to so many people.

In order to be a part of bringing the Gospel to the DR I will need to raise a total of $1850 by August 31st. Any amount of a donation would be greatly appreciated and would mean so much to me.
