Dear Friend,

Grace and peace to you! I hope that I can give you some insight to what City Project is about as you consider supporting my mission trip.
In the last couple of years, I can attest to the Psalmist who wrote, “I have seen the goodness of the Lord in the Land of the living”. I thank God for the opportunity to move to Charlotte to continue my education in Teaching and to also be a part of the community at Mercy Church. Through the trials and triumphs of living on my own in a new city, I have experienced God’s goodness in how He has used people to reflect His love and endless pursuit for me. How incredible is it that God loves me--and you, even though we are broken? Moreover, He entrusts us with his mission. Out of the love we experience from God, we are to love others, share the Good News, and make disciples. That is my heart for this summer.

My church, Mercy Church, has partnered with Mercy Hill in Greensboro to create teams for discipleship and missions through City Project. Essentially, City Project is an 8-week program during which I will be discipled and go on missions in an effort to engage people with the gospel domestically, nationally and internationally. Throughout the months of June and July, I will be learning from pastors as we study God's word. We will spend a week in New York strategically working with church planters in sharing the gospel on foot! Lastly, we will travel to bring the gospel and meet needs outside of the US.

I am so excited to be a part of His mission, and I am asking that you join me in supporting in one or both ways:

Giving Financially
I have been given the challenge of raising $4,800 by May 22, 2017, to cover costs such as costs such as travel, food, and accommodations. If you are able to give a $50, $100, or $150 donation it would be a great help towards reaching this goal! Truly, any amount is welcome and much appreciated.

Prayer
Please pray for me and my team’s safety, health, and travel. Most importantly, please pray that hearts would be moved to come to know the Lord. God’s plan for rescuing us is His church. There is no other plan B. As a willing vessel, it’s my job to be sensitive to His Spirit and obey. The results are up to Him.
