Hey ya’ll,

As you all know, I am currently in the midst of my freshman year at High Point University. Life is so good. I have made wonderful friends, had some fun adventures, and I have gained a new perspective on this thing we call life. I am constantly learning more and more every day, in the classroom and out.
This summer I will be on a trip, called City Project, through my church. This is an eight-week opportunity to spread the gospel to unreached people groups while expanding our personal relationship with and understanding of Jesus. This incredible journey begins in THE city, yep, that’s right, NYC. In New York, we will be engaging with people of different religious backgrounds including Muslims, Sikhs, and Hindus. The following 5 weeks will be spent in Greensboro, NC where our team will dig into scripture together, serve the community, and learn what it looks like to live on mission for God, locally. We will learn how to disciple people and how to be leaders in the Christian community and everywhere else. Finally, we get the big finale. The last two weeks of this adventure will be spent abroad. In Peru. Working with the Yanesha people in the jungles of Peru, we will get to truly live out the great commission that Jesus gave us in Matthew 28, to "make disciples of all nations.”
This opportunity to be a part of City Project will not only teach me more about the faith I claim, but teach me how to share that faith with others on my campus and around the world I am expectant that God will use this to change my own heart to be more like His and hopefully to move the hearts of others for His glory. In order to be a part of what God has put in place for this summer, I am in need of both prayer and financial support.
