Mae Ray with Mercy Hill Church - Greensboro, NC

Hello! My name is Mae and this summer I will be joining Mercy Hill to participate in City Life. I have attended Mercy Hill for about a year and a half. Throughout this time I have been in a community group with other Elon students that go to Mercy Hill. Throughout my time at Mercy Hill I have been able to go deeper in my local community and have grown deeper in my understanding of the gospel. I am excited to grow more in both of these areas this summer at City Life. City Life is an 8 week leadership summer project for college students and is geared towards equipping students to make disciples in their workplace and helping students find their role in furthering the mission of God.

City Life is a summer long hands-on theological practicum where I will learn how my passions and skills in my vocation can be used for the mission of God. I will work a part time job on Elon's campus. Once a week, I will meet in a community group with other students doing CL and discuss what we are reading and how it applies to our workplace. We also will participate in weekend forums where we will learn about faith and work integration from people in the local community who work within the marketplace.

For the past 2 years, I have participated in Summer Beach Project with Campus Outreach in Myrtle Beach, SC. With City Life I will be diving deeper into my local church and looking at the gospel on a vocational level.

I am excited to learn more about God and the mission this summer, and I would love for you to partner with me. There are three big ways you can support me as I get ready for the summer. First, you can be praying for me. The reality is, unless God moves in my heart and in the heart of others, it doesn't really matter what we do. Pray God would move in my heart, that I would grow over the summer, and that he would save people locally and nationally. Secondly, I ask for your financial partnership this summer. I am asking people to jump on with me at either $50, $100, or $200 or what the Lord leads you to give. I would greatly appreciate if you were able to support me in this way.
